How Scoring Works

Scores in The Word Search App follow clear rules so every puzzle is fair and comparable.

Word points

• Regular word: 700 points
• Bonus word: 900 points (bonus slots are the last words on the list)

Time bonus (full clear only)

When you find every word, a time bonus starts at 800 points and drops by 500 every 30 seconds (never below zero). Abandoned puzzles do not get the time bonus.

Stars (per difficulty level)

Stars use cumulative score across the level's puzzles:

• 1★ at 15,000 points
• 2★ at 28,000 points
• 3★ at 45,000 points

Reaching 28,000 (2★) unlocks the next difficulty in that theme.

XP and coins

• XP ≈ score ÷ 100 (capped per puzzle)
• Coins ≈ score ÷ 20 (capped per puzzle)

Spend coins on hints and unlocks in the coin shop, or earn more by solving puzzles.
